Coupons for groceries, cosmetics, housewares and more. How do we make sense of it all? Bargain Happy offers a few tips to make the most of coupons from where to find them to how to use them.
1. Weekend Paper
Look in the weekend paper, especially Sunday's paper for generous coupon offers. There are also magazines and web sites which offer coupons that rival and sometimes beat what you'll find in the paper. Look carefully for the best deals.
2. In Store Coupons
Have you ever seen the coupons hanging along the store shelves? We all have, right? You can quickly glance at the coupon to see if it's an item you need. If so, take advantage of the coupon.
3. Double or Triple your savings
Although I don't see them as often as I used to, double and triple coupon days are a way to save even more. I've been able to spot them by banners outside of stores and also by knowing what stoes offer them on certain days.
4. Don't Overindulge
Remember, at Bargain Happy, we think that the only good deal on a coupon is a coupon for something you need, not something you bought simply because you had the coupon. This doesn't apply if you tempted to test an item you haven't tried before. In that case, it may be a cost-effective way to try an item to see if it suits you.
So, be diligent in using coupons for your reguluar purchases and the savings will add up. When I use coupons, my money goes further and it's like I gave myself a raise! All without having to ask the boss. Now isn't that the best part of all?
