| We all hate spam. Those annoying emails that arrive everyday, (sometimes in their hundreds) and clog up our inbox. But why do we put up with it? Spam is one of the eaisest problems to solve but it seems we do nothing.

This figure is increasing all the time but it is estimated now that in America alone there are about 50 million e-mail accounts owned and used regularly. To anyone with a product or service to sell, that opens up nearly 50 million prospective clients. This complete multiverse of potential customers is obviously difficult to resist for many people. And although there are many legitimateprduct and service providers on the internet, the ones who exploit it the most are spammers who send spam e-mails to everyone and there dog.
All of these e-mails that you get in your inbox, can be categorized as spam. It is not usually hard to spot a spam e-mail as it is nearly always addressed to several people and also nearly always has a pitch for a product, or it for information that is useless or has no relevance to you. Frequently, it will come to you several times. Lastly, you will notice there no un-subscribe option as you would have with any emails you have opted to receive. This is only a broad generalization of course. Some spammers have become clever and have found different ways of beating the system to get their spam emails across to you.

It helps you control the emails that arrive in your inbox and it does this using filters and blockers to keep out known and recognized spammers. So, What’s the easiest way to stop spam? Well, obviously you will need some form of Email Spam Filter. Your two basic choices are wether to take a free or paid option. You can buy some very effective software nowadays without spending a fortune, and I suggest that you do not spend any more than $25 for even the best Anti Spam Filter. If a company is charging more than this then you will be able to find a program just as good for less money.
Alternatively, there are lot’s of free options available. Personally, spam filters are one of the few products where I am happy to use the free versions available.
