Ten job hunting tips to help your job search!

There are many ways to increase the odds of quickly finding a great job. One of the
Most important things to do is make sure and spend the time wisely. Your job search
should become your full time job. Eight hours a day at least.

When you are between jobs it is very easy to get discouraged and waste time. The more
time you put in to a job hunt, the better options you will discover. You don't really
want to jump for the first job you find. This is your chance to be a little choosy.

The more options you have going for you, the easier it will be to compare the offers and
choose one you will be happy with for awhile. Some useful tips to help in your search.

Set Goals- Exactly what you want to accomplish for the week, month and each day of the
week. Write them down.

Find a friend who is looking for a job and compare notes. You can keep each other
motivated and on track.

Network with everybody- All your relatives,friends,teachers,classmates and coworkers.
You never know who can help in your search to locate potential employers. And the
one thing that works better then a resume is a personal recommendation.
Talk to everyone.

Make sure your resume is rewritten specifically for each company/ job type before you

a specific position. Plan out what you can stress for each job and how you can help

job. Then spend the interview asking questions, this turns the interview around and lets
them try to sell you on the job first.

Practice a 5 minute "elevator" speech about yourself and selling yourself to someone.
Think of potential questions you could be asked and prepare ahead of time some decent
answers.

One last tip;
Set up your own job hunting database in a notebook. Keep track of each place you
contact and everyone you talk to. You can go back and contact some of them later if
necessary. Also make a list of every company you want to contact in the future. Try to
make a list of employers in your field.
