All You Need To Know About Handling Your Pet Python |
| Knowledge about handling your python is as important as knowing about other aspects of pet python rearing. It also prevents accidents and encourages an atmosphere of safe and responsible python ownership. |

Many python owners all over the world are finding that pythons can make perfect, pleasing pets that bring thrill and joy for a lifetime! Owning a python can be a wonderful, life-enriching experience when one is willing to adopt the role of a loving protector. They are beautiful to look at, yet easy to maintain and handle; they ask for little, yet give you a lifetime of companionship.
Knowledge about handling your python is as important as knowing about other aspects of pet python rearing. Once you've learnt the knack of handling, most pythons can be handled comfortably ... and that makes for MUCH happier pythons and MUCH happier owners!
It also prevents accidents and encourages an atmosphere of safe and responsible python
ownership ... something I'd like to see more of worldwide.
You see, pythons, despite their enormous strength and intimidating size, are inoffensive by nature and do not usually attack humans. They are not poisonous either.
(Unfortunately for pythons, though, this makes them easy targets for hunters.)
First and foremost, you must remember a few DON'Ts which apply to ALL pythons ...
1) Never feed your python with your hands or try to lift it using your hands.
2) Never allow a pet python to roam around the house unguarded.
3) Never allow your children to play with the python or allow them to lift it by themselves.
Some caution and some common sense will eventually make handling your pet python
second nature, ... and you will soon start creating a bond that will last a lifetime.
Why are there so many python secrets that are almost kept hidden? It's not clear. Maybe it's because the experts sometimes forget that they were novice python owners at one time.
So they might tell you what to do, but not WHY you should do it ... and so most python owners never really get to the heart of the matter to really understand their python.
